More Gems Than a High Street Jeweller’s
Scott Fitzgerald’s daughter once asked (allegedly) her father if she should join a summer creative writing course. He replied that she’d be better off reading Keats and enjoying the weather. Fitzgerald was right, but he hadn’t met Patric Morgan.
While only God could teach you to write a perfect short story Patric runs Him a decent second. The path to becoming a good writer is incremental, not damascene, so if any course makes one real improvement in your writing then it’s worthwhile. And while Patric’s course is not perfect (he is human after all) it is full of more gems than an average jewellery store window.
Get it. Study it. And, in the words of Mr Nike, Just Do It!
